Thyristors Thyristors are a family of p-n-p-n structured power semiconductor switching devices 1.6 SCR's (Silicon Controlled Rectifier) The silicon controlled rectifier is the most commonly and widely used member of the thyristor family. The family of thyristor devices include SCR's, Diacs, Triacs, SCS, SUS, LASCR's and so on.
