Whenever the Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act applies, that reporting act supersedes the reporting act discussed here. Reports should be made pursuant to the Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act, as appropriate. Health practitioners may wish to consult with Child Protective Services (CPS) to determine if a CPS report should be made.
