When the current flows in conductor, there is a voltage drop between the ends of the conductor. For low voltage cable network of normal operation, it is advisable of a voltage drop of 3-5 %. To calculate voltage drop as the following: 1- for single phase circuit: Vd = 2I ι ( R cosφ + X sinφ ) 2- for three phase circuit :
