motorcycles, as a percentage of traffic on the road, is 1%. The modal share, and hence demand for motorcycle parking, may be expected to be greater in urban areas where congestion is acute. For example, in the City of Westminster approximately 35% of the number of parking spaces is dedicated for motorcycles, and this is generally over-subscribed.
