Physics 212 Lecture 11
Electricity & Magnetism Lecture 11, Slide 2 The moment I saw Kirchhoff's Rule for charging a capacitor and a resistor was a first order forced differential equation, I got really excited. I just pretty much failed my test and it is my major after doing good on the quizzes and homework and then you throw this at me and I don' know what is happening.

Debugging and Testing of a Vacuum Tube Guitar Amplifier
courses.physics.illinois.eduDebugging and Testing of a Vacuum Tube Guitar Amplifier Ben Wojtowicz Prof. Steve Errede Physics 498 POM May 13th, 2005 . ... Last semester, I finished up the construction of the amp and also did some measurements. However, it still needed some debugging. I also wanted to do some more tests on the amp, which I was not able to do last semester ...

Tensions of Guitar Strings - Course Websites
courses.physics.illinois.eduDec 12, 2000 · Physics 398 EMI . 2 Introduction The object of this experiment was to determine the tensions of various types of guitar strings when tuned to the proper pitch. It was not necessary to actually place the strings on the guitar to make measurements. The …

The neuron firing/impulse rate on the auditory nerve depends on both the sound intensity I and the frequency f of the sound – e.g. neurons do not fire on every oscillation cycle of frequency
Quantum Tunneling
courses.physics.illinois.educurrent density, the wave function must have a position dependent phase. Otherwise, the phase of Ψ(x,t) will be the same as the phase of ∇~Ψ(x,t) and therefore Ψ∗∇~Ψ will be real. The current density for an electron in a stationary state of the form Ψ(x,t)=ψ(x) exp(−iωt) is zero since the phase dependence has no spatial dependence.

Grid-Scale Battery Storage - NREL
www.nrel.govThe electricity grid’s transmission and distribution infrastructure must be sized to meet peak demand, which may only occur over a few hours of the year. When anticipated growth in peak electricity demand exceeds the existing grid’s capacity, costly investments are needed to upgrade equipment and develop new infrastructure.
