The time period can be adjusted from 1 ms to 2000 s. Periodic tasks can be assigned a priority level with high priority tasks interrupting lower-priority tasks. Event-driven tasks will execute when a specified event takes place. Tasks in the Logix5000 controller are executed by priority. Continuous tasks have the lowest priority, which is fixed.
