Jan 14, 2022 · The protection of the wolf has contributed to a significant improvement in the population in Germany and across Europe. It is estimated that there are now 20 000 wolves in Europe, of which more than 1 000 live in Germany. The flip side of this development is dramatic conflicts with people as a result of attacks on livestock by the animals.
