Qualitative Research Designs
The use of the ethnographic method in nursing research began in the 1960s. Ethnography is useful in nursing because nurse researchers can view nursing and health care in the context in which it occurs. Grounded Theory Studies Grounded theory is a qualitative research approach developed by two sociologists, Glaser and Strauss (1967).
