Producer -gas : A gas produced from the gasification of biomass which consists primarily of carbon monoxide, hydrogen, carbon dioxide and nitrogen, and has a heating value of 10 – 15 percent of the heating value of natural gas. Progress ratio (PR): A measure of the rate of improvement in a technology metric, typically cost per unit.
