1. Lay in bed and begin by paying attention to your breathing. Breathe deeply and concentrate on the words, in and out. As you breathe in, say in; as you breathe out, say out. Saying these words as you breathe can help keep your mind on deep breathing. If other thoughts come into your mind, don’t get upset, simply go back to the words in and out.
