All timbers to be stored for a year or more, the ends of members shall be coated with coal tar, aluminum leaf paints (hardened gloss oil), microcrystalline wax or other suitable material. The stacks of timbers shall be protected from hot dry wind, direct sun and rain. Heavy weights may be placed on top of the stacks to prevent warping of timber.
