The Cobb–Douglas Production Function
The familiar economic concept of “diminishing returns” leads us to expect that the MPN, while positive, should be declining: as the labor input is increased, holding K and TFP constant, output should increase but at a diminishing rate. Does the Cobb–Douglas function satisfy this condition?
