CSE 6306 Advanced Operating Systems 7 responsible for mapping the structure of the files in shared space to the structure of files at any particular workstation. As the AFS is built on the UNIX platform it has the same file structure as that of UNIX. The local name space is taken as the root directory and the shared space is mounted on it.
