BASIC ALLOWANCE FOR SUBSISTENCE (BAS) 2501 GENERAL PROVISIONS 250101. Entitlement. Except as otherwise provided by law, members who are entitled to basic pay are entitled to BAS under the conditions set out in this chapter. Effective January 1, 1998, enlisted members being subsisted in kind are entitled to a partial BAS payment
