1 Registered Manager We are recruiting for a full-time Registered Manager to join our independent domiciliary care company in Chiswick, west London. The Registered Manager s position will be vacant from Monday the 18th of April when our current Registered Manager will be leaving after six years to take up a new post in the NHS. We have a very low turnover of staff and in 2014/2015 we were a finalist for the Best Employer of under 250 staff at the Skills for Care Accolades. Company background Established in 1993, we have an excellent reputation for providing dignified, personalised care that promotes the independence of older people living in their own homes in Ealing, Chiswick and the surrounding areas. We are a very successful company and have achieved record performance results in 2015. We are seeking an experienced and motivated person who possesses a strong working knowledge of adult social care and the requirements of the Care Quality Commission to oversee the delivery of high quality care to approximately 60 clients.
2 Our clients range in age and support needs with the majority living with some form of dementia. We provide care services from 30-minute visits up to on-going 24 hour care. We do not provide 15-minute calls. We specialise in providing care to the elderly, people living with dementia and end of life care. The majority of our clients are privately funded and come to us through personal However, we also have clients who receive direct funding from their local authority and budgets from health authorities. We do not currently tender for local authority contracts. Purpose of the role To oversee the day-to-day delivery of high quality dignified homecare services promoting respect, equality and the independence of our clients. The Registered Manager is directly accountable to the Director and to the Care Quality Commission. In this role you will be leading a care team of three Care Coordinators, one Rota Administrator and 32 care workers. You will be working closely with the Director, and Strategy and Compliance Manager .
3 Job Description Job Title: Registered Manager Hours per week: Full-time hours per week within the hours of 8am-6pm Monday to Friday Reports to: Owner/Director Clare Drewell Salary: 32,000 - 35,000 dependent on experience and qualifications Benefits: - Company pension scheme - Season ticket loan (if required) - 23 days annual leave + 8 Bank Holidays - Flexible working within the hours of 8am-6pm Monday-Friday - Pool car no personal tax liability - Funding for NVQ Level 5 qualification if applicable Duties and responsibilities Key responsibilities - Efficiently manage the day-to-day delivery of the domiciliary care service - Manage all aspects of the staff team - Effectively communicate information and instructions to staff and clients - Manage and coordinate the delivery of staff training and development - Provide leadership to ensure staff are clear about their duties and responsibilities Care-specific responsibilities - Responsible for the safe delivery and accurate recording of care in line with legislation, the CQC.

5 Disciplinary and grievance matters - Ensure all emergency on-call issues are dealt with effectively including covering visits either directly or indirectly when care workers are sick or unexpectedly absent at short notice - Take an equal share of the on-call responsibilities during evenings and weekends (for additional payment) Representing the company - Attend relevant network meetings, workshops, conferences etc. - Embed the Company ethos of high quality person-centred dignified care in all your work - Seek out and implement industry initiatives ( The Social Care Commitment) - Contribute ideas and items to the Company s social media accounts This list of duties is not exhaustive and you will likely be required to undertake additional ad hoc duties for which any required or relevant training will be provided.
