2 He is said to have moved to Prince Edward Island Michael Tobin who moved to Thorold, Welland Co., Ontario. Ed also wrote that Patrick married twice. The second marriage was to Ann Foley, the widow of William Foley. Patrick may have died before 1832 because he is not listed on the 1832 Voters List. Petrie, Founding Member, Friends of Irish Research After William Foley died, his widow Anne married Patrick Tobin Sr. (Ed said: I found a marriage in 1822 for a Patrick Tobin to ANNE FOLEY, widow of William Foley.) In 1824, there was a court case launched by Patrick Tobin over William Foley's land (against the administrators William Hogan and John Cummins). It is very interesting to note that someone has stolen those court records from the archives.
6 Some of the land is still in dispute, even now. Someone went to the provincial archives and stole all the papers relating to this case. He said that when last heard from one was in Prince Edward Island and the other was in Black Head, North Shore Newfoundland. Michael was listed as having resided in Thorold, Canada West (Now Ontario) for 14 years.
