We would like to let everyone know about the contents of the offering envelope boxes. In addition to the weekly white tithe envelope, each box contains: Initial Offering Envelope (yellow) is a contribution to the printing and processing of offering envelopes. It helps the church offset this cost. You can contribute any amount. Per Capita Apportionment (blue) is the amount of money per member of the church that we send to the Presbytery to use in their mission work. It is $31 per person this year. Milestones (pink) is a donation to our endowment program. The endowment is a savings account for the church to assist in any major financial need in the future. It is our financial safety net. You may contribute any amount and it will go into our savings fund. Deacon s Fund (white and gold) is a monthly envelope that designates funds to the Deacons of the church to use in their mission work here in PB and San Diego.

If you would like a box and don't find yours, please leave your name in the office, I'll be glad to get you one. By picking up your box, you are saving the church postage fees. In less than a month, PB Pres' youth group is making their annual trip to Forest Home's Winter Camp. I'm happy to say that we've already filled all of our spots for attendees!

7 In order to ease the financial burden on our students, Today , SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 1st the youth will be holding a fundraiser here at the church! We will be offering a variety of baked goods in exchange for any amount you care to donate. We are very thankful for all of your generous support over the years! Our camp trips are always spiritual high points of the year, and a time for the students to step away from their normal lives and refocus on God. They are very important, and we couldn't make it happen without you! Ken Bailey Video Class February 4 and 9 In this second session of a 10-part series on "I Corinthians," Dr. Kenneth Bailey illustrates how the Apostle Paul has organized his letter into five essays, the first of which focuses on the Trinity. Paul shows how each person is a trinity: his or her body, thoughts and actions, and spirit. This is a parable of the Holy Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

8 And this is true because we are made in the image of God. Identical one-hour sessions will be held on Wednesday the 4th at 7:00 and Monday the 9th at 2:00 in Founders' Hall. Each session begins with a 30-minute DVD followed by a discussion of Dr. Bailey's insights. Newcomers are always welcome to come and enjoy this series.
