7 It is hard enough to get some people to church as it is. People need to feel accepted iii) All people in MINISTRY positions, particularly those who are the first contact point for visitors to the church, must have warm personalities. (Fruit in their life) iv) The right choice (God s selection) of MINISTRY team members for the church plant is crucial to the success of any new church plant 5 13) A church plant is best preceded by a season of evangelism, where members of the church planting team start connecting with the local community.

8 14) Weekly (Regular) meetings between the founding members of the church planting team, is crucial in establishing a firm foundation for a church plant 15) Every church plant should be preceded with much prayer 16) Having a sound church structure (legal entity) and accounting and administrative structure is imperative. Integrity and accountability is crucial for any church. (Being accountable to other Pastors is wise for all church leaders.

9 Being part of a group or denomination of churches is also a healthy safeguard for any church. We believe as a church, that serving others is a key to seeing a church make an impact in the lives of those in the community.

10 All leaders should have a servant heart where they give of themselves so that others grow in their faith and are prepared for MINISTRY . A vibrant church must look for opportunities to connect with the community, schools and market place. Practically demonstrating the love of God in the community is crucial for any church to make an impact on the community. Having a drop in centre for people is also a great way of connecting with the needs of the community. In what other ways could your church connect with the community or village?
