5 LOAD MODULE SYSTEMS Parts of the Load MODULE Aero-Caster Slide mounted Load MODULE Aero-Caster An innovative and cost-effective solution for moving heavy loads STEP 1 Minimum 3 (mostly 4) or more Load Modules are placed under the load around the centre of gravity and connected to a control console. The Load Modules are solidly supported on landing pads to protect the Aero-Caster s torus bag from being crushed when the load is at rest. STEP 2 When air is applied to the Aero-Caster , the torus bag is inflated, creating a seal against the floor surface. When all Aero-Casters are sealed against the floor, more air pressure is applied raising the load. STEP 3 When the pressure within the chamber is sufficient to offset the load s weight (surface x pressure), the pressure is slightly increased allowing air to escape evenly between the flexible torus bag and the floor.

6 The load is literally floating on a thin, nearly frictionless film of air, 0,08 to 0,13 mm thick allowing the load to move omnidirectionally in a total 2D freedom.
