The CAIRN has decided that it is much more fun to run to thelocal dog than it is to listen to the person who has just picked up hispoop; and then, whilst you are left apologising for your CAIRN sdisruptive behaviour, he is away after the next dog, just to see whatkind of stir he can cause.

2 The problem is that Cairns know they arequick; they know that they can cause a fair bit of trouble withoutactually getting caught. They ve mastered the art over many yearsand will continue to perfect breed has over a hundred years of experience in speed,agility, focus, listening skills and scent work. These guys were bredfor it. After so many years of effectively being out of work, they aregiving themselves the work that they were bred to do in the firstplace. So what better basis for giving them back the work that theyso desire? Let s give them back the thrill of the chase, and thescents of the great outdoors.

3 They are quite content with oursubstitutions for them. Take them out into the field and hide theirfavourite toy and send them out to scent it for you; play fetch with atoy or ball; take them on your morning run with you. There are nolimits to the games and tasks you can find to work your CAIRN sense of content your CAIRN will gain does come at a cost toyou. It requires a lot of patience and a lot of trust.
