2 This year we will be expanding our pre-day conferencewith the addition of a Community of Practice workshop hosted by the Mental Health Commission of Canada as well as two afternoon discussion forums on are pleased to announce keynote speaker Theo Fleury, a former NHL hockey player. He will be sharing his journey of overcoming addictions and his advocacy role for sexual abuse victims. The workshops will provide attendees with a variety of relevant topics of supported employment strategies, tools and shared experiences. Networking opportunities will be offered through the expansive Entrepreneur Marketplace, welcoming reception and with your conference registration you are invited to a Nova ScotianKitchen Party on Wednesday night and a competitive "Hali CASE Chase" that you can enter!

Without controversy or blame, Theo focuses on helping and leading others down a path of 1991 at the age of 15, Kevin was in a bicycle accident and as a result suffered a spinal cord injurywhich resulted in paralysis from the chest down. Through perseverance and determination, as well as community and family support, Kevin graduated from Horton District High School in 1995 and continued his post-secondary education at St. Mary's University. In 2000, Kevin earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Small Business Management & Entrepreneurship and in 2002 was hired as a Wage Subsidy Program Manager by the Department of Education.

10 In 2005, Kevin was hired full-time by the department as a Coordinator of Disability Services and continues to serve in thisrole todayhelping provide supports and services to students with disabilities attending the past 25 years, Kevin has served on several boards including Independent Living Nova Scotia , Teamwork Cooperative, Canadian Paraplegic Association, and Sail Able Nova Scotia . Through professional and personal endeavors, Kevin has become well-versed in issues that affect persons with cross-disabilities. This includes areas such as education, employment, accessibility, and , Kevin is the president of Sail Able Association of Nova Scotiaa nonprofit organization dedicated to providing sailing opportunities for persons with disabilities.
