1 Adolescent Literacy: The Middle School Years Module 4, Course Activity 3 Guided reading : book Introduction Overview: The book Introduction and focus are the first components of a Guided reading lesson for a chapter book . For this activity you will select a chapter book for a Guided reading group and prepare a book Introduction and focus by answering the planning questions. Estimated Time: One hour Materials: Chapter book , book Introduction and Focus Planning Tool (included with this activity). Step1: Select a chapter book that you could use with a Guided reading group. Step 2: Complete the questions on the planning template included with this activity.
