The rate of improvement (raw-score points per week) was calculated for each student in the norm sample for each of three intervals: fall winter, winter spring, and fall spring.

3 An ROI Growth percentile indicates the percentage of students in the norm sample with an ROI at or below a given average rate of improvement can differ depending on their initial performance level ( , in the fall for a fall spring ROI). Therefore, the ROI Growth Norms were constructed based on five initial score levels: Very Low ( st 0th percentile), Low ( th 25th percentile), Average (26th 75th percentile), High (76th 90th percentile), and Very High (9 st 99th percentile).
