Classes are held on District campuses and are offered for non-credit. Financial support of the program comes from the class fees. Payment for classes must be received before students can attend classes. Certificates of completion are issued for most courses with a required minimum of 80% attendance. Children are not allowed in class. Classes will begin as scheduled and without notification or confirmation of enrollment. You will be notified of time or date changes, as well as class cancellations or schedule RequirementClasses are offered for ages 18 and up, regardless of where they live.
2 Community EducationFor the past 33 years, the katy ISD Community Education Program has grown to include almost 3,000 participants per semester. Its purpose is to provide the general public with learning opportunities that include self-improvement, enrichment, recreation and academic courses. You are invited to develop your interests, learn new skills and make new friends through the courses offered each you are interested in a course that is not being offered, please send your suggestions to the katy ISD Community Education Office, 6301 S. Stadium Lane, katy , TX 77494 or call (281) ISD IS A TOBACCO FREE School LAWS STRICTLY ENFORCEDThe katy ISD Police Department will enforce the parking laws, and violators are given traffic tickets that carry fines up to $ no parking zones are clearly marked. Also, there is no parking allowed along curbs that are painted blue (except for vehicles with a handicap designation) or painted red (fire zone).
3 Late FeesClass registration and fees must be received no later than three business days prior to the first class meeting. If received later, a $10 late fee will be PolicyThe katy ISD Community Education Program is funded solely from tuition. Once a class has formed or is in progress, expenses for the teacher and materials are set. Therefore, the following procedures must be followed: For classes cancelled because of lack of enrollment, 100% of the tuition will be refunded. For students who withdraw from a class after registration and before the second class meeting, 75% of the tuition will be refunded. No refund will be given after the second class meeting (whether the student has attended or not). Late fees are not refundable unless the katy ISD Community Education Office cancels the refund request can be made by contacting the katy ISD Community Education Office at (281) 396-6365.
4 It normally takes three weeks to process a refund check. Credit card re-funds can be processed within three working days of the ChecksA $30 service fee will be collected for each returned ClassesClasses cancelled due to conflicts with regular School activities will be rescheduled. If katy ISD cancels regular School classes due to inclement weather or other reasons, Community Education classes are cancelled as well. Every effort will be made to contact you if your class is cancelled. Therefore, we must have an accurate phone number on file. If you need to update your information, please contact the katy ISD Community Education Office at (281) 396-6365 or Education classes will not be held during regular School holidays, which include: March 11-15, 2019 (Spring Break). Phone: Telephone registration is available to individuals wishing to charge their fees to Mastercard or Visa only! Please have the following information ready: course name and number, credit/debit card number, expiration date, and name of cardholder as it appears on the card. The katy ISD Community Education Office is available Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 and 4:00 at (281) 396-6365.
6 4. In Person:You may register in person at the katy ISD Community Education Office locatedat the katy ISD Education Support Complex, 6301 S.
