Hopefully, and according to the latest information from the Trinidad government, the borders should reopen around the end of July and we will be able to resume normal work, obviously with a strict screening and quarantine protocol in place, says Frederic. The pandemic has seriously impacted our operations. Although we have not encountered any issue receiving parts or equipment, we cannot man the rig with enough personnel to complete all projects required during an SPS. Prior to the borders closing, all projects were going as planned and Exxon representatives were on board working along with the crew through contract preparation and acceptance March 18, Exxon and their third-party auditors disembarked with the latest possible crew change, and daily communication through emails and calls is now maintained to progress as much as possible until borders personnel have completed extended hitches on the west Saturn since then, and Frederic praises them for their resilience, professionalism and dedication shown during this time.

5 It is amazing how the guys have kept morale up and have maintained great performances despite the long hitches and the stress of being away from their loved ones for such a long time, he tells us. We finally managed to organize a charter flight Friday, May 8, and we sent 50 Brazilians back home. The guys strength during this stressful period has been amazing, and I cannot thank them enough. We are all looking forward to recommencing operations when borders reopen and will be fully focused on completing the SPS safely and efficiently by the end of October. 6 That improvement trend has accelerated during the pandemic. Since March, our operational performance has improved by , according to the stats in Leil, Head of Performance Enhancement, tells us that although the performance KPIs measure the raw speed of key metrics, what you re really measuring is the efficiency of the rig and how well they re executing the client s drilling program. During COVID we have defied logic and made some impressive gains. Now, at the same time, if you look at technical uptime (which is not part of the performance KPIs), April was the best month that we ve had out of the last twelve. These Results show a renewed level of dedication and focus among our crews. Recent global events have only made our job more difficult, so what has been achieved offshore in recent weeks is remarkable. I d like to thank and congratulate them for their efforts and for the resilience they ve demonstrated during this time. New quarterly and annual awards for Performance KPI Champions will be announced in the coming months, based on the individual rig KPIs measured in Insight.

7 The west Elara has been awarded ConocoPhilips Rig of the Month twice already year-to-date, in February and March, and came a close second in of the five rigs that compete for the award, the winner is the rig with the best operational performance and zero high-potential incidents (HIPOs). The operational performance score measures all aspects of the drilling operation. In February and March, the west Elara consistently performed strongly across all Pedersen, Assistant Rig Manager, believes that their performance is a direct result of sharing lessons learned across the rig teams. We have reduced the average BOP test time to one and a half hours by working with and learning from the west Linus, he says. And despite this tremendous adversity, they managed to deliver a best-in-class, incident-free well and US$10 million under budget.
