Flanged sensors with a lifting lug on each flange make the sensor easier to handle when it is transported and lowered into place at the installation site. Flanged sensors that do not have lugs must be supported with a lifting sling on each side of the housing. Figure 2-1 shows sensors correctly supported for handling and installation.
