SPLEEN AND LYMPHATIC SYSTEM: The spleen weighs 521 g. The splenic capsule is smooth and purple. The splenic parenchyma is dark red and firm. There are no accessory spleens found. The splenic artery is patent. The mesenteric, peripancreatic, periaortic and hepatic hilar lymph nodes are enlarged and firm.
