Moog Directly Operated Valves are mostly driven by a Linear Force Motor and called Direct Drive Valves (DDV). To increase the spool actuation force, the main spool of pilot operated valves is operated hydraulically by a pilot valve. By hydraulically amplifying the electrical command signal, pilot operated valves can reach very high spool actuation
