2 When we blend our own hearts of faith and affection for God with the powerful testimony of the character and acts of Jesus, the living Son of God, and with God's ongoing work in the life of the church, the Word of God can go forth with power, conviction, and conversion. We can show little children the greatness of is the purpose of He Has Spoken By His Son. By showing children the heart of God through New Testament stories, we have the privilege of being part of God's work in their hearts to set their hope in Him (Psalm 78:5-7).He Has Spoken By His Son consists of 52 chronologically arranged New Testament stories, as well as the key themes found in each story. The intent is to acquaint young children with Jesus and to build a foundation of Bible doctrine for them. The themes are emphasized repeatedly, not only so that they will be remembered by these young children , but also to show the amazing consistency of a God who never changes.

3 The stories are not written out. Instead the teacher is encouraged to study the Scripture and the themes, rely on God's work in his heart to reveal Himself through the story, and then tell the story in his own words, weaving in one or more of the major ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days He has Spoken to us by His Son, whom He appointed the heir of all things, through whom also He created the world. Please allow the Holy Spirit to guide you to further questions and responses. If you went outside on a very windy day and told the wind to stop blowing, would it stop? How about if I (parent) told the wind to stop blowing? How could Jesus make the wind and the wave be calm just by talking to them? (Jesus is God; everything must obey Him.) Would you like to know somebody that powerful? (Talk about what it means to know God.) Discuss what it means to have faith and to have no faith (see verse 40).
