1 ELJT System Registration Module GETTING STARTED This section provides a general walkthrough of the system from initiation through exit. System Requirements The eLJT System runs on ordinary Windows desktop n laptop computers, with: Computer/Processor: Computer with Intel Pentium Gigahertz (GHz) or higher. Memory: 1 Gigabyte (GB) RAM or higher. Hard Disk: 40 Gigabytes (GB) or higher. Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 1 (SP1) or higher, Windows Vista. Browser: Internet Explorer (IE) version or higher, Mozilla Firefox version or higher, Google Chrome. Internet Speed: 56 Kbps or faster. PDF Reader: Used to view eLJT s reports. Free download at Digital Signature: Used during online submission form to Land Surveyors Board.
2 User can choose to use one of the below methods: 1. Digital Certificate which issued by Digicert Sdn Bhd or MSC Trustgate. The formats of certificate that can be used are with extension such as: *.der, *.cer and *.p12. Please contact the Helpdesk for your any unrecognized certificate by our system. 2. iVest Smartcard and Reader. iVest Smartcard is only applicable for Internet Explorer (IE) s browser. eLJT System Registration Module Logging On Open your internet browser and go to the URL Login into the system by using User ID and password given. Remember to set your browser as the best setting for system best quality look.
3 The system does not allow user to use enter button to move from one field to another. System Menu This section describes in general the system menus, which will the first thing encountered by the user, as well as the navigation paths to functions noted on the screen. eLJT System Registration Module Main Menu 1. 4 License Application Dealing Application Report eLJT System Registration Module System Security The e-LJT System supports certificate authentication using validated certificate issued by certification authority that recognized by Government of Malaysia such as MSC Trust gate and DigiCert Sdn Bhd. Beside using the digital certificates as mentioned above, the e-LJT System also integrated with the iVEST Smartcard. iVEST stands for "Virtual Environment for Secure Transactions Its initial offering allows users to create digital signatures, and produces extremely reliable user identification on an open system such as the Internet. It contributes tremendously towards secure communications of a world class standard.
5 During digital signing, user is allowed to choose either to use Digital Certificate which issued by MSC Trustgate, Digicert Sdn Bhd or iVEST Smartcard. How to apply for iVEST Below are the ways to apply for iVEST Smartcard. Step 1: Self register at Click iVEST Card Pre-registration link. Complete all sections of the form. Step 2: Physically present at iVEST RA Counter, Jaring INTAC Building, MIMOS BERHAD, Technology Park Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur to complete the registration process and to get your iVEST Smartcard. Things to bring along with: Recent passport size colour photograph Photocopy both sides of NRIC (for Malaysian) o Or Photocopy of passport (for non-Malaysian) Payment in form of Cash, Credit Card, Cheque, Bank Draft and Money Order You may also physically present at Anjung Internet Jaring (AIJ) nationwide with all the above documents, plus you have to fill and submit manual form to complete the registration process.
6 You can download form at . State on top of the form that you have successfully done iVEST Smartcard Pre-registration Kindly take note that there will be no immediate processing at AIJ Counters. We will inform you via email once your iVEST Smartcard is ready for collection. Email to to request for iVEST Smartcard quotation and for other inquires. eLJT System Registration Module Digital Certificate Digital certificates are electronic format of any physical or paper certificates. Some examples of physical certificates are driver's licenses, passports or membership cards. Certificates serve as an identity token for an individual for certain purposes, a driver's license identifies someone who can legally drive in a particular country.
7 Likewise, a digital certificate can be presented electronically to prove your identity and rights to access information and services on intended web site. Digital Signature will be used as an added security feature to enhance non-repudiation for important documents and information. During digital signing, the user s Smart Card or MyKad must be present in the card reader. Once initiated by the user, the system will automatically read the details of the Smart Card or MyKad and initiate the signing transaction. The details of the signature will be kept together with the record or document in the system. The Digital Signature can be verified using the generated signature by comparing the details and validity of the signature store in the signature file and checking whether the record or document has been changed.
8 How to Apply Digital Certificate MSC Trustgate Step 1: Visit for online enrollment. Please pay attention on: In the online enrollment form, there is a chapter that you need to fill theCryptographic Service Provider Name :>Please choose Microsoft Enchanced Cryptographic Provider You should do the online enrollment at the PC that you want to use the digital ID. Step 2: Payment information: The cost of Digital certificate (Client Class 1 ID) is RM50. There are 3 options available for payment. You can choose either you want to pay using Credit Card, Purchase order and Cheque. The details of payee information are as below: Account number : 512446200110 (Maybank Account).
9 Company Name : MSC Sdn Bhd Your application will be processed once online enrollment and payment have been made. eLJT System Registration Module Exit System To exit from the system, users have to click logout item at the top right of the page. See item eLJT System Registration Module USING THE SYSTEM: LAND SURVEYORS PROFILE MODULE HOW TO VIEW YOUR PROFILE Land Surveyors profile module is divided into 7 parts: My RLS Profile | My LLS Profile | My Practices Profile | My Article Pupil | My Field Assistant | My Field Trainee| Change Password. Change Password Change Password is a sub-module that used by user to change the login password.
10 We strongly recommend to the user to change his/her password after login for the first time in order to maintain a high level security so that the account does not become accessible to other people. Under this sub module, user requires to type new password and retype the new password for verification. My RLS Profile RLS Profile is a sub-module that views particulars about Registered Land Surveyor (RLS). As we know, to be a Land Surveyors, a person has to register before he/she apply for a license to practice. In this sub-module, all the particulars related to registrations data can be viewed. To edit the details, user has to use another sub-modules ( Dealings Application ) that will be explained in the other chapter.
