It is argued that acombination of the Sustainable LivelihoodsApproach (SLA) and sub-sector analysis willdeliver the most reliable results. The combinationof the two approaches allows a clear focus on themain stakeholders involved in the commoditychain, emphasizing livelihoods aspects, but alsoemploying more traditional methodologies.
