See page 5 for take a few minutes and read this booklet. This willfamiliarize you with the benefits you will receive from theequipment you just purchased and help you understand theroutine maintenance that will be required. Your Model 3000 hybrid Electronic Air Cleaner delivers thecleanest, healthiest air ever available from a whole-house aircleaner! It is an investment in healthful comfort for your familyand protection for your home and furnishings. Your Model 3000 hybrid Electronic Air Cleaner featurespatented, breakthrough electrically enhanced air filtration technology that provides a unique combination of both electronicand media air cleaner qualities. It permanently traps even thesmallest particles so they cannot re-enter the air stream. WARNING 120 Volts may cause serious injury from electrical shock.

Disconnect power to the air cleaner before servicing. Arcing in electrical components may cause an explosion. Do not install unit where explosive gasses will be present. To reduce the risk of electrical shock, this equipment has a grounding-type (three prong) plug. This plug will fit onlyinto a grounding-type power outlet. If the plug does not fit into the outlet, contact qualified personnel to install theproper outlet. Do not alter this plug in any way. To reduce the risk of electrical shock, locate product so that the power cord can be plugged into an electrical outletwithout the use of an extension not plug any other device into the outlet in which the air cleaner is plugged. This is a current sensitive to circuit components may occur if a device other than the air cleaner is operated from the air cleaner obtain service parts and/or replacement media, please proceed with any of the following options: Call the installer of your Model 3000 hybrid Electronic Air Cleaner.

This information is often found on your equipment. Call us at cleaners are effective only when air is circulated throughthem. The Model 3000 hybrid Electronic Air Cleaner operatessilently, removing a very high percentage of the pollutants fromthe circulated air while maintaining its level of efficiency withuse. There is pollution in air everywhere even in the air wenormally consider to be fresh outdoor air. The infiltration ofoutside air into the home can be minimized by keeping doorsand windows closed as much as possible, thereby increasingthe indoor air may have purchased your air cleaner for allergy cases differ widely and not even the Model 3000 hybrid Electronic Air Cleaner is a sure cure for any , this air cleaner can be highly beneficial because it isover efficient at removing particles the same size asallergy-causing pollen, fungus, mold, and spores (see Figure 1)from the air passing through it, which makes it the healthychoice for cleaner indoor air.

It will also remove over 90% ofparticles the same size as many disease-causing airbornebacteria, and is 80% efficient at removing virus-size are typically about 1,000 times smaller than can be seenby the human eye. The reduction of household dust, tobacco smoke particulate, and smudging particles may have been the motivatinginfluence in your decision to have an air cleaner installed. TheModel 3000 hybrid Electronic Air Cleaner removes 86% ofcigar and cigarette smoke particulate. Since this air cleanerreduces the amount of particles in the air, you can expect areduction in the need for dusting and cleaning and a longertime interval between efficiency of the Model 3000 hybrid Electronic Air Cleaneron the smallest particle which can be seen with the naked eye(approximately 10 microns) is never less than 99%.

The visible household dust particles, and nearly all pollen andspore particles, therefore, can be caught and permanently andeasily held once they get to the air cleaner. Fan or manual allows you to control blower those who choose periodic cleaning (as opposed tocontinuous cleaning through continuous furnace bloweroperation), the most important period is during and forseveral hours after vacuuming your home. The vacuumingprocess (unless you have a central vacuum system) stirs up alarge volume of dust particles which must be drawn into yourair of the dust particles generated while vacuuming are soheavy that they fall out of the airstream before they can bedrawn out of your living area. This is why it is important to dohousehold dusting several hours after vacuuming. Normallyonce the heavy particles fall out, they are only reintroducedto the air by vacuuming, or similar vigorous OF OPERATIONThe Model 3000 hybrid Electronic Air Cleaner is an electricallyenhanced high efficiency air cleaner that uses an ionizationand electric field.

It is the first and only residential air cleanerthat uses this patented technology. As shown in Figure 2, aparticle passes a control electrode and enters an intenseionization and electric field. This intense electric field ionizes(applies an electrical charge to) the airborne particles. Thecharged particles are then attracted to and collected by the aircleaner media, which is maintained at ground by means of theground electrode.
