2 Information comesfrom current and former sports writers, coaches, team statisticiansand submissions from you. Is there an achievement missing from our record book? Has an athlete in your school turned in a notable performance? Do you have a suggestion for us? You can contact the editors at the addresses book includes records of schools that belong, or previouslybelonged, to the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference(CIAC). We do recognize varsity games that Connecticut schoolsplay against non-CIAC members and out-of-state of the sources of information is MaxPreps, the official statisticianfor the CIAC. This project is independent of the CIAC and editors consider multiple sources when gathering information ordeciding on submissions for the record book.

3 To the extent possible, the record book uses figures compiled inaccordance with the statistical manual of the National Federation ofState high school Associations, which is derived from the NCAA'smanuals that cover compiling statistics for football games. NFL rulesfor statistics do not apply for high school Connecticut football record book is not a Hall of Fame or areflection on the lifetime achievements of players or coaches. It is astatistical record of what high school athletes and coaches haveaccomplished on the field in varsity football games. This record book project was launched in 1997 by the late Bohdan"Bo" Kolinsky, a long-time scholastic sports editor of the HartfordCourant, and Tim Sullivan, then offensive coordinator at Weaver HighSchool in Hartford, and in recent years a Hartford school administra-tor.
