2 $100 per exhibitor plus class ENTRY fees *Anything postmarked after June 13th is considered late and late fees apply. Anything entered online after 7 pm central time June 27th is considered late and late fees apply. Late entries will close at check in at the Fair. No exceptions! Entries will not be considered unless accompanied by full remittance. Wisconsin State Fair reserves the right to reject, accept or conditionally accept any ENTRY or late ENTRY from any exhibitor. Wisconsin State Fair is a North American Six HORSE Hitch Classic Series qualifying show. All exhibitors entering the six HORSE hitch classes must be current members of the North American Six HORSE Hitch Classic Series. The Wisconsin State Fair American Clydesdale Show is recognized as an AA ALL AMERICAN MIDWEST REGIONAL the Clydesdale Breeders of the Rotation #2 - Belgians, Percherons, Shires and Spotted Drafts are eligible for the hitch show.

3 Belgians and Percherons will have a halter show. DRAFT HORSE SHOW SCHEDULE Arrival In Place Release Rotation 1 Clydesdales 7/31 after 8 am 8/1 6 pm 8/4 after show. Superintendent will schedule staggered releases based on stalling location: Lower level must be out of barn on 8/4 by Midnight. Upper level must be out of barn on 8/5 by Noon. Rotation 2 Belgian Percheron Shire/Spotted DRAFT 8/8 after 4 am 8/8 Noon 8/10 after show. Superintendent will schedule staggered releases based on stalling location: Lower level must be out of barn on 8/10 by 9 pm. Automated/Golf Carts: The use of automated/golf carts is limited while the Fair Park is open to the public. All carts must have a valid permit (available for purchase through the Wisconsin State Fair Admissions Office at ) visibly displayed on the hood. RULES AND REGULATIONS 1) All exhibits will receive the best care and protection the surroundings will afford, but they are always subject to the owner s risk.

5 All exhibitors are expected to conform to Wisconsin State Fair participation and exhibition policies. Failure to comply may result in awards, and prize money forfeiture, dismissal from grounds and being barred from immediate and/or future exhibitions. Wisconsin State Fair Management reserves the right to interpret and enforce the rules and regulations; split or combine classes; accept or reject any ENTRY entirely, partially, or conditionally. 2) Entries, with proper fees, may be submitted via mail to Wisconsin State Fair, 640 S 84th St, West Allis, WI 53214, or entered online at See ENTRY deadline dates listed above. All entries must contain complete INFORMATION including class number, birthdate, name, and registration number (unless pending).

6 Any entries without proper INFORMATION will be returned. See the Open General Rules and Regulations section on for additional rules. There are no refunds of ENTRY fees. Stalling capacity is limited. All stalls are 10 x10 box stalls and will be assigned at the discretion of Wisconsin State Fair management, regardless of stalling requested with entries. Wisconsin State Fair reserves the right to discuss ENTRY and stalling with Breed representatives or other designated committees/personnel/exhibitors and will notify exhibitors if their stalling assignments are different than what was requested. In instances where entries are rejected or stalling requests are not available, a full stall refund will be provided by September 30th.

7 If barn capacity is exceeded, entries will be accepted using the following criteria in order: A. Past exhibitor husbandry practices, use of space or class participation, cooperation with show management B. Entries which include hitches C. Wisconsin exhibitors based on seniority of participating at the Wisconsin State Fair D. Out-of-State exhibitors based on seniority participating at the Wisconsin State Fair E. New Wisconsin exhibitors F. New Out-of-State exhibitors Other ENTRY notes: Entries made in individual halter classes must list animal registration INFORMATION (animal name, registration number, sire, and dam). Hitch classes must be entered in advance but horses in the hitch need not be identified.

8 3 Group classes can be entered at the Fair; horses in the group need not be identified. All youth classes must list the youth exhibitor s name on the ENTRY form. Substitutions: A substitution is switching an animal within the same halter class OR switching from one halter class to a different halter class OR substituting one hitch class for a different hitch class of the same size. Examples of a substitution would be: substituting Yeld Mare A for Yeld Mare B OR substituting a Brood Mare for a Stallion Foal OR substituting a Mare 4 HORSE Hitch for a 4 HORSE Open Hitch. Substitutions cannot be made from halter classes to hitch classes OR between different size hitches. Please note: switching horses within a hitch is not considered a substitution.

9 Substitutions will not be accepted without the Open Substitution Form . No exceptions. UNTIL JULY 27th - Any substitutions within department will be allowed at no charge providing the animal being substituted was eligible at the time entries were made using the Open Substitution Form (located on ). Submit form and copy of registration paper postmarked on or before July 27th to: Wisconsin State Fair ENTRY Department 640 S 84th St West Allis WI 53214 JULY 28th AND AFTER (UNTIL CHECK IN) Late substitutions will be allowed within department for a fee providing the animal being substituted was eligible at the time entries were made. The Open Substitution Form (located on ), proper fees and registration paper must be submitted to show management at check in.

Anything entered online after 7 pm central time June 27th is considered late and late fees apply. 3) Admission/Parking: All exhibitors and exhibitor s family must have valid admission to enter the Fair Park August 2 12, 2018. Admission: Livestock show exhibitors may purchase up to a maximum of 50 admission tickets per exhibitor. Each admission ticket can only be scanned once. If an exhibitor would like to exit and re-enter the Fair Park multiple times during the day, he or she MUST get his or her hand stamped at the admission gates. Admission tickets which get wet, sun-damaged, lost or stolen will not be replaced.
