I have found that the first year proved to be very successful, with the Chairman s Rally being well attended (and I think everyone enjoyed the ducks!). I am very grateful to all the people who have stood for Committee (most are in their 2nd year), those that volunteer as Rally Marshalls and the keen number of regular ralliers who support our rallies throughout the year.

3 South W ales Centre would not survive without all of your help and effort, many thanks to all involved. Our new Vice Chairman (who is also Rally Secretary) Peter Crockett has been working tirelessly in securing venues for us for our 2018 Rally season. There are quite a few new venues and even more pleasing to see new Rally Marshalls. W e have kept the favourites (such as the Steam Rally in Much Marcle and the Elvis Festival in September). Following last year s Harvest Supper (which proved to be quite a feast), the next one hopes to be bigger and better! The Dinner Dance venue is back at the delightful venue of St Mary s Hotel & Golf Club in Pencoed. This event starts off our calendar year and I look forward to attending the various venues in the South W ales area.

4 Last year saw South W ales Centre attending the North W ales W elsh National at Anglesey Show-ground. This was a lovely setting and South W ales narrowly missed 2nd place by 1 point. This was an amazing effort by all who attended and I would like to thank John & Myra Thomas for all their hard work with organising the Sports teams. W e hope that as many of you as possible will show your support to Gwent Centre, as they have supported us in the past by attending their 66th W elsh Na-tional, which will be held at the Monmouthshire Showground from Thursday 23rd August 2018 until Tuesday 28th August 2018 . I look forward to the year ahead and hope that Michelle and I get the opportunity to meet you, the members out on the Rally field.

6 The main purpose of the website is to publicise the activities of the Centre, providing details of rallies, social events and other news, including Rally photographs and also an on-line Rally booking facility (except Limited and Holiday Rallies). For those who have access to the Internet, please visit the website for up-to-date information on the activities of the Centre - add it as a favourite and recommend it to a friend! 10 Bicycles are welcome - but on roadways please and not in between caravans and cars. This year the SWCC committee are pleased to hear that a few of our young rallier's, are interested in being involved in the youth committee. As it is the end of the season any updates will be posted on the web site relating to the youth committee once the 2018 season has started. Our youth members are an integral part of our Centre as they will in turn become our future ralliers. We need to encourage them to be involved in the Centre, therefore if any Parent is aware that their child would be or is interested in being on the Youth Committee, please contact the Chairman or approach any committee member out on the Rally field.
