2 Do not allow childrenor pets on treated areas until granules have been watered intothe soil and the grass or soil is OF PRACTICAL TREATMENTIF SWALLOWED: Call a physician immediately. Drink I or 2 glassesof water and induce vomiting by touching the back of the throatwith finger. Repeat until vomit fluid is clear. Do not induce vomitingor give anything by mouth if person is unconscious or INHALED: Remove victim to fresh air and apply artificialrespiration, if indicated. IF ON SKIN: Wash promptly with plentyof soap and water. Rinse thoroughly. Get medical IN EYES: Rinse eyes with plenty of water and call a physicianimmediately. NOTE TO PHYSICIAN: This product is an organo-phosphate insecticide. If symptoms of cholinesterase inhibition arepresent, atropine sulfate by injection is antidotal. 2-PAM is alsoantidotal and may be administered, but only in conjunction HAZARDS This product is highly toxic to birds, fish and other wildlife.

Because of the migratory habits ofcertain Atlantic Coast waterfowl, do not apply this product tolawns in Nassau County, New York, between November 1 andMay 20. Do not exceed maximum permitted label rates. Applicationrates above those recommended significantly increase potentialhazards to birds. Avoid overlapping granules. Granules that arespilled or are visible on soil surfaces should be covered with soilor thoroughly mixed into the lawns, follow all watering instructions in the directions for use,however, stop watering before puddling occurs. For lawns, do not applythis product to sites occupied by waterfowl, or within 75 ft. of any bodyof water which may attract waterfowl, such as ponds or out of lakes, streams, ponds, tidal marshes and estuaries. Donot apply directly to water. Runoff may be hazardous to aquaticorganisms in neighboring areas.

4 Shrimp and crab may be killed atapplication rates recommended on this label. Do not apply where fish,shrimp, crab and other aquatic life are important resources. Do notcontaminate water by cleaning of equipment or disposal of equipmentwashwaters. DIRECTIONS FOR USEIt is a violation of federal law to use this product in a manner inconsis-tent with its lawn APPLICATIONSPECIAL PRECAUTIONS TO REDUCE RISK TO BIRDS: Birds,especially waterfowl (ducks or geese), feeding or drinking on treatedareas may be killed. To reduce risks to birds: (1) Do not treat areaslarger than 15,000 sq. ft. Water lightly after application. If necessary, repeatapplication at 3-week intervals. Make no more than 4 applications , White grubs of Japanese beetle, European chafer,Southern chafer, Ataenius spretulus (dung beetle)-Water grasswith at least 1/4 inch of water after application, however, stop wateringbefore puddling occurs.

6 For billbug controls, apply when activity is firstobserved or when chewed grass indicates damage. If necessary,repeat application at 3-week intervals. Make no more than 4 applica-tions per year. For grub control, except dung beetle, treat any timebetween late July and early October. For dung beetle control, apply inSpring or Summer when damage is first noticed. Water grass with atleast 1/4 inch of water after application, however, stop watering beforepuddling occurs. Treat again in late Summer or early Fall, if a secondgeneration weevils - Water grass with at least 1/4 inch of water afterapplication, however, stop watering before puddling occurs. SPOT TREATMENTAnts - Apply 1 1/2 teaspoons of 5% DIAZINON Granules over andaround each ant Ants - To aid in the control of fire ants in lawns and other outdoorhome recreation areas, apply 1/2 Cup over, and 2 ft. around, each fireant mound. Immediately after application, water-in thoroughly. Applygently to avoid disturbing ants. Use of high pressure wateringequipment may disturb the ants and cause migration, reducingproduct effectiveness. A minimum of 1 gal. of water should be appliedto each mound area. Reapply as necessary. Note: For best results,apply in cool weather, 65 - 80 F, or in early morning or late eveninghours. Works within 24 hours. No waiting for days or weeks. Treatnew mounds as they wasps - Apply 1 1/2 teaspoons of 5% DIAZINON Granules inand around each nest opening. Apply at dusk when wasps are TREATMENT AROUND HOUSE FOUNDATIONThe following pests are commonly found around or near housefoundations, and may enter the - , Brown dog ticks, Clover mites, Crickets, Earwigs, Fleas,Millipedes, Sowbugs (pillbugs), Springtails (collembola).

8 Apply a 2foot band of 5% DIAZINON Granules next to the house granules uniformly, using a rate of oz. for each 100 of area (2' x 50') treated. If necessary, repeat application at GARDENSSPECIAL PRECAUTIONS TO REDUCE RISK TO BIRDS: Birdsfeeding on treated areas may be killed. To reduce risk to birds: (l)Thoroughly mix 5% DIAZINON Granules into the soil during orimmediately after application. Refer to the following directions fordepth of soil incorporation. (2) Granules that are spilled or are visibleon soil surfaces should be covered with soil or thoroughly mixed intothe DIAZINON Granules kills: Cutworms, Mole crickets, Rootmaggots, Wireworms, Flea beetles and Seed Corn maggots on cropslisted below. Apply uniformly as directed for each crop.
