7 Malfunctions may 2: MOUNT THE the hanger kit (2 hangers and 2 screws) to the top/back of the screws from the lower panel. Pull it out and then downto the CONTROLLER on a wall or other solid area to approximate eyelevel using the mounting hangers. To secure the CONTROLLER , use thescrew hole located at the center bottom of the wiring 3: WIRE THE VALVESA. Use water tight connectors at all valve : The power transformer is protected by an elec-tronic circuit breaker. Do not connect a combination of valvesrequiring an inrush current of more than 1 AMP at 24 VAC.
8 (Twovalves maximum).STEP 4: CONNECT THE VALVE WIRES TO THE valve wires up through the 1 1/4" conduit hole on the bottom of the wire from valve number 1 to the terminal screw on thecontroller marked 1 ",,valve number 2 to terminal marked "2 , andso the common wire to any of the three terminals marked COMMON .If using a water pump or master valve, refer to page 11 for instructionsand not use wire larger than 14GA when connecting to theterminal 5: CONNECT THE TRANSFORMER - OUTDOOR MODELSA.
9 Run the 120 VAC power wire into the wiring cavity using the 7/8" conduithole in the bottom of the CONTROLLER . Connect the white wire as thecommon, the black wire as the power wire, and the green wire as earthground with standard wire 6:CONNECT THE TRANSFORMER - INDOOR MODELSA. Connect the power leads from the timer to the plug-in Attach one lead to each terminal screw on transformer. Be sure terminalson cord do not Plug in : Use with supplied transformer ONLY!STEP 7: CONNECT THE BATTERYB attery will keep program in memory during temporary power a 9 volt alkaline battery-(not supplied) to the battery con-nector in the wiring compartment of the battery in the wiring the cover Panel and replace the battery at least once a year.
