7 Thou-sands, yes, tens of thousands of people today are asleep to thecondition of their spiritual and their physical Health . They are farfrom the better way of life and do not sense their peril. Faithfulwatchmen are needed to point out the way of Health and call to Medical Evangelism is first given Seventh-day Adven-tists in the example of Christ in his own ministry and in his gospelcommission to the church. He who went about doing good, healingall that were oppressed of the devil, showed that true evangelismcomprehends ministry to physical needs as well as to history of the Advent movement has been characterized bya dual ministry. Health and temperance work has always been a partof world Evangelism . Many important reforms in healthful livingare recognized as being closely interwoven with the Advent gospelmessage.

8 Pointing the way to a full observance of God s law hasincluded the recognition of the laws of the development of the Medical missionary interests, institu-tions have been established and numerous educational centers andmany training facilities have been provided for teaching the ways ofright living and for fitting men and women to help again there rings in Adventist ears the command, go outinto the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that myhouse may be filled. A forward step is imperative; a new note must be struck. Thou-sands of laymen must now hear and repeat the call to Medical mis-sionary Evangelism . Hundreds of nurses who have had a thoroughtraining in denominational sanitariums should engage in medicalevangelism, and with some additional training they could be leadersin the work.

9 Scores of young men should qualify to be should sense fully their responsibility of imparting themessage of Health and temperance in talks and lectures in Adventist[6]churches and before non-Adventist audiences in the great Call to Medical Evangelism and Health EducationMinisters should lead out as organizers and teachers of bands ofyoung the successful prosecution of this work, lecture materials,books on Health and temperance, and instruction regarding the orga-nization and conduct of Health and home nursing classes have beenprovided. Those who take up this work should seek counsel andhelp from conference messenger of the Lord through her current books,Reviewand Heraldarticles, and manuscripts calls the entire church to medi-cal Evangelism . May the study of these stirring messages lead to agreat advance movement among Seventh-day Adventists in medicalmissionary work and Medical Conference Medical Department.

Counsels on Health , evangelization of the world is the work that God has givento those who go forth in His name. They are to be colaborers withChrist, revealing to those ready to perish His tender, pitying calls for thousands to work for Him, not by preaching to thosewho know the truth, going over and over the same ground, but bywarning those who have never heard the last message of mercy. Workwith a heart filled with an earnest longing for souls. Do medicalmissionary work. Thus you will gain access to the hearts of thepeople. The way will be prepared for more decided proclamation ofthe truth.
