AAFES Adds New VPs, OTHER PERSONNEL MOVES …

1 DALLASThe Army & Air Force Ex-change Service ( AAFES ) recently announced the appoint-ment of a series of vice presi-dents (VP), and made a variety of executive shifts throughout the the new VPs is Tom-my Ward, an outside hire with previous Exchange experience, who was appointed VP, Credit Operations, in the Credit Pro-gram Directorate, effective in November 2017. According to AAFES , this position was created to provide strategic leadership in the development and execu-tion of strategies for the overall Exchange Credit Program. Another outside hire with previous Exchange experience, Brad Bingham, became VP, Fi-nancial Analysis and Budget, in the Finance and Accounting (FA) Directorate.

2 He succeeds Ken Jacquin, who is slated to become VP, Controller later this year, to succeed Steve Donelson, who the Exchange said, is slated to retire in Exchange also promoted Morgan Meeks to Logistics vice president (VP), Transportation Operations, effective as of De-cember. According to AAFES , the position was modified to meet today s needs overseeing global transportation to include fulfill-ment related to e-commerce activities. Meeks was previously the Logistics director of Transporta-tion also announced that Gustavo Perez was appointed the Executive Group s Executive Action offi-cer, effectively succeeding Sean Applegate. Applegate, who was previously the aide to the di-rector/chief executive officer (CEO) in the Executive Group and formerly the Exchange s Senior Enlisted Advisor when he was a chief master sergeant in the Air Force, has moved to the Merchandising Directorate (MD) as Business Development manager (B2B)

Young, who had been the store director at Vogelweh AB, Germany, succeeds Ronald Yoder, who in 2017 was named chief of Store Operations for the agency. In the interim, Jim Clark, deputy director of both the East and Central areas, served as acting Zone 21 manager until Young took over the position, effective Jan.

He takes over the zone from Greg McGruder, who retired in December. Nichols also retains his store management duties. Succeeding Young as store director at Vogelweh AB is Kevin Kegler, who most recently served in the same capacity at Baumholder, Germany.
