2 The wisdom and expertise of ACMAG thus provides a context for building on, strengthening and expanding, the capacities of ABORIGINAL communities to address and overcome interpersonal , ACMAG broadened its scope from providing strategic direction to ECAV to include oversight of the ABORIGINAL PROGRAMS provided by the New Street and Cedar Cottage Services (NSCCS).The role of the ACMAG is to:1. Ensure the principles of cultural safety, self-determination and participation of ABORIGINAL people are refl ected in the work of ECAV and the NSCCS;2. Review and respond to requests to ECAV for training or community development PROGRAMS from ABORIGINAL communities;3. Make recommendations to ECAV and the NSCCS management on issues and communities of high need, as well as program development and implementation recognising the requirements of funding contracts and legislation;4.

3 Make recommendations to ECAV and the NSCCS management and NSW Health on respectful protocols when working within, and for ABORIGINAL communities;5. Provide expert advice and/or oversight of PROGRAMS and projects, including research projects being initiated by ECAV, NSCCS and other agencies, as agreed to by ACMAG;6. Advocate for ABORIGINAL communities by contributing to the development of policies and PROGRAMS that promote service access, equity and self-determination for ABORIGINAL people within all relevant government sectors; and7. Promote and monitor the implementation of state-wide government policies relating to sexual assault, child protection and family/domestic violence in ABORIGINAL , is the Clinical Advisor to the New Street and Cedar Cottage Services Net work within NSW Health .

4 Dale s work with people who have sexually harmed others at these services spans over 20 years. Prior to this Dale worked in a variety of child, adolescent and family mental Health settings. He participates in a number of government and professional associations panels and committees as well as assisting some church groups review complaints concerning the conduct of clergy and church leaders. Dale is a member of the Australian Association of Social Workers and a founding member of the Australia and New Zealand Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abuse (ANZATSA).Dale is also a member of the accreditation panel of the Child Sex Offender Counsellor Accreditation Scheme (CSOCAS) administered by the NSW Commission for Children and Young People.

5 Ivan Clarke, was the senior ABORIGINAL Counsellor with Link-Up NSW specialising in supporting stolen generation clients with alcohol and other drug issues, trauma, grief and loss, dual diagnosis and mental Health issues prior to starting with ECAV in 2011. In the last 10 years Ivan has worked in the social welfare/counselling fi eld at the WHO s Rehabilitation facility, Foundation house and the Salvation Army Foster House before joining Link-Up NSW. He plays a critical role in the implementation of ECAV s Strong ABORIGINAL Men s Program and is a consultant for the community development program Weaving the Shelley, is a proud Kamilaroi woman her family are from the Gunnedah area.

6 She was born in Sydney, is a mother and grandmother and has lived and worked with the Western Sydney ABORIGINAL Community for over 45 years. She has a background in working with ABORIGINAL young people and women s homelessness, crisis support work, counselling and mental Health in the community and the prison system and is now working as an ABORIGINAL Counsellor for New Street Sydney based at Cumberland Hospital, Parramatta. She provides clinical services to young people and their families in which a young person has sexually harmed. She also has an interest in education and participates in a number of ABORIGINAL committees. Lee Murphy, is the proud father of 5 children and 2 beautiful grand children and one more on the way.

7 His children area from a multicultural background, with Kamaki (TSI), Bundjalung Nation, Tanna Island of Vanuatu and Irish blood fl owing through their veins. He is currently enjoying work as an Intensive Family Based Service Case worker with Community Services providing preventative crisis intervention to help families keep their children safe. He has worked for many years within the Lismore community employed by Juvenile Justice, Probation and Parole and Brighter Futures. He has also worked as a school teacher with children from Early Intervention to Year McNamara, has been Director of ECAV for nine years and prior to that was the senior Health educator for the mental Health and sexual assault portfolio.

8 Lorna has had an active role in research projects such as Every Boundary Broken, which was pivotal in establishing policy on sexual safety in NSW mental Health services. Her current focus is the development of qualifi cation pathways to support an ABORIGINAL work force skilled in case management and counselling in the areas of sexual assault, family violence and child abuse. Marlene Lauw, is a Wiradjuri woman who has had extensive experience working with ABORIGINAL communities providing support, counselling, advocacy and group work. She has specialised skills and knowledge in competency based training, workforce development, in the areas of trauma, healing , family violence, sexual assault and child Members55 Sigrid Herring, has over 20 years experience working with ABORIGINAL families and communities and has specialist skills in community management, case management and group work.

9 She has extensive training experience in ABORIGINAL cultural competency, community development, governance and family violence. Mareese Terare, is a mother and grandmother. Her traditional connections are with the Bundjalung (Tweed Heads) and Geonpul Nations (North Stradbroke Island) and a South Sea Islander descendant. She is an academic and clinical consultant for cultural competency and healing . She has had extensive experience in the higher education sector and has worked in the areas of child protection, family violence and women s Health for over 20 years. She is passionate and committed to challenging racism, discrimination and inequality. She has an interest in the impacts and implications of acculturative stress on ABORIGINAL kinship connections.

10 Mareese is a current PhD Candidate with Sydney University. She was central to the development of the ABORIGINAL healing Framework that underpins ECAV s Advanced Diploma in ABORIGINAL Specialist Trauma Counselling qualifi cation. Margaret Forrest, is a proud Wiradjuri woman from Dubbo. She is a mother, grandmother, foster carer and considers herself as an Aunty to lots of kids. She has worked in the areas of domestic violence and child sexual assault for over 20 years. She is currently working as an ABORIGINAL counsellor for Newstreet Adolescent Service based in Dubbo. She provides clinical services to families in which a young person has sexually Kennedy, is a Wiradjuri - Eora woman with over 20 years of experience delivering PROGRAMS on child sexual assault and child protection to ABORIGINAL communities and workers.
