1 Our story The American Probation and Parole Association (APPA) was born in Louisville, KY in 1975. APPA is an international Association composed of members from the United States, Canada and other countries actively involved with Probation , Parole and community-based corrections, in both adult and juvenile sectors. All levels of government are counted among its constituents. Partnerships with the National Curriculum and Training Institute (NCTI), the Community Corrections Institute (CCI) and the Center for Strengths-Based Strategies allow APPA to bring nationally known trainers directly to your locale no travel is necessary!Online TrainingsThrough a partnership with Essential Learning, APPA offers hundreds of accredited online courses to its members.
