1 About Natural Lakes Natural Lakes Private Preserve is located in Vilas County in the township of Presque Isle, Wisconsin, just north of Boulder Junction, Wisconsin, and a few miles from Michigan s Upper Peninsula border. Natural Lakes is a private Natural preserve, whose land lots and roads were purposely designed to take advantage of the four Lakes situated in the Preserve. There are over 310 members in the association and over 160 owner-residences. The Natural Lakes Preserve is comprised of 3600 Acres (approximately 800 acres is common land) with 26 miles of roads. There are approximately six miles of walking trails and more planned in the near future.
2 Approximately 15% of the Preserve borders on Wisconsin State Forest. The Presque Isle Springs runs into Morton Lake forming the headwaters of the East Branch of the Presque Isle River which flows north to Lake Superior. 3 7 sq miles o Depth = 11 feet The fish population consists of Northern Pike, Bass, and assorted pan fish. Each lake has private boat landings secured by gates by its members. All Natural Lakes owners are members of the Natural Lakes Owners Advancement association (NLOAA), the largest homeowner s association in the state of Wisconsin. The association strives to maintain the naturalness of the Preserve but, at the same time, focuses on quality of life of its membership. The association encourages a volunteer atmosphere, which promotes continuous improvement consistent with the Preserve s goals.
