2 Courses Sharp Academy Service Training provides a path for technicians to acquire certification on specific Sharp product families and advanced subjects. A training course is broken down into several elements, which consist of instructional videos, downloadable reference materials and knowledge checks. It is recommended that technicians who are new to Sharp and have limited or basic industry experience begin with the MFP Training Path: Core Competencies, Core Monochrome and Core Color. These courses are designed to familiarize the technician with Sharp MFP processes and operations. ROLES. Service Manager's Role The service manager plays an active role in the training process of each technician.

3 As the service manager for your respective dealership, you help to ensure that all Sharp 3T Instructors are up to date with the Sharp Academy Service Training 3T Certification and that they follow the Sharp approved certification process. If a technician is no longer employed, the service manager must notify the assigned Sharp Document Support Specialist (DSS). 3T Instructor's Role As the 3T Instructor for your respective dealership, your responsibility is to assist the participants with their Sharp Academy Service Training. This would include but is not limited to: Ensuring the participant has access to the internet and sufficient time to complete the training Tracking your participants as they progress through Sharp Academy Providing an MFP for hands-on training whenever possible Upon the successful completion of the certification process, the 3T Instructor will register the participant's certification with Sharp TSG*.

Sharp Academy Online Service Training Guide Participant's Role Course Components: Modules: Each subject-based section within a course may contain the following: Instructional Videos that include a variety of topics, including Trouble Codes Simulation Codes Downloadable Reference Materials such as Resource Documents Troubleshooting Guides Bulletins Tech Tips Resource Documents: Self-contained field service guides on the module's subject ( , Fusing) that include but are not limited to Theory of Operation Trouble Codes SIM Codes Schematics Maintenance Certification is dependent on the course.

5 For some courses, certification is based upon the completion of the entire course or a section of the course. Please refer to the course description for details. If your dealership has a Sharp Certified 3T Instructor, the instructor will complete the certification process with you. If your dealership does not have a 3T Instructor, then your Sharp DSS will assist you with your certification. Instructor Audit Policy: Any Sharp technician's certification may be audited for professional proficiency by a Sharp DSS as follows: 1. A technician may be asked to demonstrate technical proficiency with any MFP in which (s)he has been certified ( , uninstalling and replacing a component, clearing a jam code, adding developer).

6 2. Pending the evaluation of proficiency by the DSS, the technician may retain proficiency status or receive further training until (s)he is re-evaluated by a Sharp DSS. First Time Login: To start training, the first step is to log in to the Sharp Academy website from or use the Sharp Academy link on Sharp Start. Enter Sharp Academy . Log in on the Welcome screen. Then, follow steps 1 through 3.

9 From the previous instructions and continue with the steps below. 1. Click on your name in the upper right hand corner. 2. Click Preferences. 3. Click Edit profile. 4. Attention All Sharp Dealers, Service Managers and Technicians: As of June 1, 2019, Sharp technicians are no longer required to attend 5-day straining classes at Sharp locations. Sharp service training will primarily consist of web-based training on Sharp Academy free of charge to all Sharp dealers with access to Web-based training is fast, cost-effective, innovative and accessible.
