2 Creating a vision for our future Like so many of you, I feel so lucky to be able to experience all that THPRD. offers to our community. As a board member, I have the honor to serve you, advocate for our park system, and learn about how our park system works compared to other communities. At a recent National recreation and Park Association (NRPA) meeting I was reminded of the big difference between being a special district, like Table of Contents THPRD, versus having our park and recreation services being part of a larger government.
