Activities - Itaga Private Game Lodge

1 Activities Itaga Lodge has traversing rights over more than 12,000 hectares of good game country which is home to Elephant, Lion, Leopard, Rhino, Hippo, buffalo , Giraffe, Zebra, Wildebeest, Hyena, Warthog, a wide variety of antelope / plains game and bountiful bird life. Guests can enjoy an early morning or afternoon game drive with an experienced ranger in our open 4x4 game viewing vehicles. Like many other Private game reserves, the lions in our reserve are contained in a separate high security, fenced area. Visits to the Mabalingwe Lion Enclosure must be pre-booked and is subject to space availability. Visitors are not always guaranteed to see the lions as they can be elusive.

2 We also recommend an excursion to visit the white lions at another reserve nearby as well as a number of other optional extra Activities which are available in the your convenience, we have enclosed some details of these Activities for your perusal. All prices are exclusive to Itaga Lodge guests, provided that Activities are booked and prepaid at Itaga . Transport, at an additional cost, can be arranged with the Duty Manager for Activities which do not include transfers. Bookings are essential as Activities have limited availability, particularly over weekends, on public holidays and during the South African school holidays. It is therefore imperative to make your booking as far in advance as possible.

Activity prices and times are subject to change without prior notice. Independent operators charge a 100% cancellation fee on all Activities which are booked and subsequently cancelled. All participants will be subject to terms & conditions of the relevant independent service providers. Itaga Lodge accepts no liability in respect of the Zebula s Golf Estate Spa Resident guests of Itaga Lodge have access to Zebula which is situated just 20 minutes away. Golf This par 72 course designed by Peter Matkovich is a must for golf enthusiasts!

4 Optional 30 minute Private 4x4 game drive transfers to and from Zebula via the Private bush road can be arranged. Horseback Game Viewing Safari A 1 hour safari, often regarded as one of the most intimate and rewarding ways to view game. When: Monday to Saturday at 8:00 and 15:00 (winter) or 16:00 (summer) Cost: Adults @ R300 per person and Children between 10 and 12 @ R180 per person Quad Bike Safaris A 1 hour guided quad safari through the pristine bushveld.
