1 Parish of Ascension MARTINEZ Ascension PARISH PRESIDENT REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL Request for proposals will be received by the Ascension Parish Government at the Ascension Parish Government Purchasing Office, 120 East Railroad Street, Gonzales, Louisiana 70737 (mailing address PO Box 2392, Gonzales, LA 70707-2392) until March 17, 2015 at 04:00 (CST) for the following: Adjudicated Property Administrator In general terms, Adjudicated Property is Property that has been placed in state or local government hands because Property taxes have not been paid. Louisiana law allows the governmental body having jurisdiction over the Property to sell the Property . The Parish is authorized to only sell Property which has been Adjudicated since January 1, 1975, that is abandoned (vacant or not lawfully occupied) and that is considered surplus or no longer needed by the Parish for a public purpose.

2 The Louisiana State Land Office manages Property that was Adjudicated before January 1, 1975. The Ascension Parish Government is seeking qualified firms to develop and implement a plan of action for the disposal of Adjudicated Properties located within its jurisdiction as pursuant to state law and local ordinance. Proposals must be detailed and include all of the processes including the auction sale and Property title. Six (6) copies of proposal shall be submitted. The Ascension Parish Non Engineering Selection Committee score card may be obtained at the Ascension Parish Purchasing Department. This proposal can be viewed and submitted online at The Parish of Ascension reserves the right to disqualify any Bid , response to a Request for Qualifications, or Request for Proposals if it is determined that the submitting business entity is not in good standing with the Louisiana Secretary of State or is not authorized to do business in the State of Louisiana.
