1 Admission Notice 2018-22 Prarambh School for Teacher Education, Jhajjar, Haryana, which is a stand-alone teacher Education institution of Govt. of Haryana, invites online applications for Admission to a Four-year Integrated Bachelor of Education Course in the following streams: 1. Bachelor of Arts + Bachelor of Education ( ) 30 seats 2. Bachelor of Science + Bachelor of Education ( ) 70 seats The course will be conducted as per scheme of studies approved by Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak and National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Applications for the said Courses should be submitted online at which is already functional from 20th March 2018. The Common Entrance Test will be held on 10th June 2018.

3 Admission Notice 2018-2022 Prarambh, School for Teacher Education, Jhajjar, Haryana (henceforth referred to as Prarambh) invites on-line applications for Admission in a Four-year Integrated Bachelor of Education Degree Course in the following streams: 1. Bachelor of Arts + Bachelor of Education- 30 seats 2. Bachelor of Science + Bachelor of Education-70 seats The course will be conducted as per scheme of studies approved by the Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, Haryana and National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Detailed advertisement along with eligibility conditions, reservation and other instructions etc. can be downloaded from the website , The Entrance examination fee of Rs. 800/-(Rupees Eight hundred only) for General and OBC category candidates and Rs.

4 400/- (Rupees Four Hundred only) for SC, and differently abled candidates of Haryana. Applications for and Course should be submitted online at from 20th March, 2018 to 9th May, 2018, and a Common Entrance examination (CEE)-2018 will be held on 10th June, 2018. Candidates who wish to apply for this four-year integrated Course will have to appear in the Common Entrance examination (CEE) 2018, being conducted by Regional Institute of Education, Mysore, the details of which is available on the website For Admission in the four-year Integrated Course of Prarambh, a separate merit list will be drawn up from amongst candidates, who are appearing in the Combined Entrance examination 2018, being conducted by Regional Institute of Education, Mysore and who fulfill all the eligibility conditions laid down by Prarambh, School for Teacher Education, Jhajjar, Haryana, and have given their option for seeking Admission in Prarambh.

5 In case of any change in schedule, the same will be notified only on the website ELIGIBILITY: Eligibility for Course 1. Candidates seeking Admission to Physical Science Group must have passed Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) (Mathematics includes Mathematics or Statistics) and those seeking Admission to Biological Science Group (CBZ) must have passed Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) (Biology includes Biology or Biotechnology) at +2 level. 2. Candidates must have passed +2 / Hr. Sr. Sec. or any equivalent examination recognised by University/ Board with at least 60% marks .The examination should be recognised by Rohtak, the affiliating University of Prarambh.

6 3. Candidates who have passed +2 or any equivalent examination in 2016, 2017 or appearing /appeared in 2018 only. Eligibility for Course Candidates must have passed Hr. Secondary/Sr. Secondary or equivalent examination in Science, Arts and Commerce streams with at least 60% marks in 2016, 2017 or appearing /appeared in 2018. The examination should be recognized by Rohtak, the affiliating University of Prarambh. Common Entrance examination A Common Entrance examination for Admission to a Four-year Integrated Bachelor of Education Degree will be held as per schedule available in the subsequent pages. Keeping in view the rationale and objectives of establishing this premier institute and ensuring quality education , the minimum qualifying criteria , in all the disciplines , in the Common Entrance examination will be same as RIE s Results of Common Entrance examination & Ranking For 60% from Entrance examination and 40% from Obtained marks of PCM or PCB out of Maximum marks of PCM/PCB in qualifying examination .

Out of 80 questions, Language Proficiency in English 20 questions, Teaching Aptitude/Attitude 30 questions and Reasoning Ability 30 questions weightage will be given. 3. Medium of Test Booklets only in English and Hindi. 4. Correct answer(s) will carry 2 marks each, Wrong answer(s) will carry negative marking of (minus) marks each and Question(s) unattended will carry no marks. Syllabus of CEE 2018 For all the groups, areas to be tested are 1) Language Proficiency, 2) Teaching Aptitude/Attitude, and 3) Reasoning Ability. 1. Language Proficiency indicating specific areas like comprehension, rearranging sentences, selecting suitable words for the blanks, finding out errors in parts of the sentences, finding out equivalent meaning to the given phrases, finding out suitable words for the incomplete sentences, sequencing, grammar which includes synonyms, antonyms, idioms, prepositions, tenses, articles.

Teaching Aptitude will cover specific areas like attitude towards education, children and teaching profession; interest in teaching; leadership qualities & group management; emotional & social adjustment; intrapersonal & interpersonal skills; and general awareness of contemporary issues pertaining to school education. 3. Reasoning Ability indicating specific areas like verbal non-verbal reasoning, missing numbers, number series, letter series, theme finding, jumbling, analogy, odd one out, arranging the statements in a sequential form, statement and conclusions, syllogism, logical problems, establishing relationships.
