1 ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS ENTRY TO THE DIPLOMA IN NURSING (GENERAL, PSYCHIATRIC & COMMUNITY) AND MIDWIFERY (R425) A. CANDIDATES AND ENROLLED NURSING AUXILLIARIES WHO PASSED GRADE 12 PRIOR TO THE CURRENT ACADEMIC YEAR Senior Certificate with endorsement. National Senior certificate Bachelor s Degree Pass. Compulsory subjects: English HG E-symbol / Level 4 An aggregate of 20 points on rating scale. Must be a South African citizen from Limpopo Province. PROCEDURES Completed application forms must be received at the College from the 01st of April to the 31st of August each year. The prescribed Limpopo College of Nursing application for ADMISSION form must be completed and signed.

2 A certified copy of the Senior Certificate., Identity book and marriage certificate where applicable. Rating scale completed. Certified proof of registration with SANC (where applicable) B CANDIDATES CURRENTLY IN GRADE 12 (NSC) English must be passed with at least a level 4 pass 50-59%. Candidates must submit certified copies of statement of results by the 10th of January after the Grade 12 examination results are released, to the office of the Registrar. Must be a South African citizen from Limpopo Province. PROCEDURES Grade 12 applicants must submit written proof from the school, that they are registered for a National Senior Certificate Bachelors Degree pass with English as a compulsory subject.

3 Completed application forms must be received at the College from the 01st of April to the 31st of August each year. The prescribed Limpopo College of Nursing application for ADMISSION form must be completed and signed. A certified copy of the Identity Document must be attached. (Birth Certificate if ID is not available yet). C. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR CANDIDATES WHO ARE ENROLLED NURSES A Senior Certificate Only compulsory subject: English An aggregate of 20 points on the rating scale. Certified proof of current registration with SANC. PROCEDURES Completed application forms must be received at the College from the 01st of April to the 31st of August each year.

4 Certified copies of Identity Document, Senior Certificate and marriage certificate (where applicable) NB 1 : Attach deposit slip for administration fee. If not attached the application will be disqualified. NB 2: Three telephone numbers of relatives or friends must be written on application form. NB 3: Applicants must have obtained a senior certificate or national senior certificate not more than three years ago. Administration fee of R30,00 which forms part of the application process and is non-refundable and must be deposited into the college bank account. The College reserves the right to adjust the amount.
