The PDF Library is based on the core technology of the Adobe Acrobat line of products and offers complete functionality for generating, manipulating, rendering, and printing PDF Library enables PDF functionality to be seamlessly embedded within applications.

5 It also provides reliable, accurate and Adobe -supported implementation of the latest PDF PDF Library and the PDF viewers The PDF Library shares much of the same source code as the Adobe PDF viewing applications (Acrobat Professional, Acrobat Standard and Adobe Reader). There is a large degree of overlap between the functionality provided by the PDF Library Software Development Kit (SDK) and that of the Acrobat SDK. They differ in providing access to the Acrobat user interface: The Acrobat SDK is meant for the plug-in environment, and allows you to control and interact with theAcrobat user interface. The PDF Library SDK is intended for interaction between PDF content and other applications, such ashigh volume batch processing and PDF generation applications.

9 Two new APIsPDDocColorConvertEmbedOutputIntentEx andPDPageColorConvertEmbedOutputIntent have been added to support new output intentsubtypes added in PDF Appropriate subtype like GTS_PDFX, GTS_PDFA, and ISO_PDFE1 can beadded to the output profile as per the value passed to these APIs. If output intent already exists at Doc/Page level, then new output intent gets added to the existingone. PDColorConvertPDEE lementEx2 API has been added to support conversion to a PDEE lement tothe supplied color space. PDSysEncodingSetIsUTF16 API has been added to check if an encoding is UTF-16 or not. In PDF , versioning model has been changed and now support 2-part version system which is acombination of Major and Minor version like as compared to 3-part version in PDF Updated Decryption Sample to showcase the support for Unicode based password protected PDFs.
