( vacancy No. 21121901225) Two vacancies for the post of Assistant Commissioner (Crops), Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare ( UR-02). The vacancies are suitable for candidates belonging to category of Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) viz. Blindness and Low Vision with disability Low Vision (LV), Deaf and Hard of Hearing with disability Deaf (D) or Hard of Hearing (HH), Locomotor Disability including Cerebral Palsy, Leprosy Cured, Dwarfism, Acid Attack Victims and Muscular Dystrophy with disability One leg affected (R or L) (OL) or One arm affected (R or L) (OA) or One leg and One arm affected (OLA) or Leprosy Cured (LC) or Dwarfism (DW) or Acid Attack Victims (AAV), Multiple disabilities (MD) at least two disabilities from the sub-categories of the disabilities indicated above including deaf- blindness.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: (A) EDUCATIONAL: Master s Degree in Agricultural Economics or Agricultural Extension or Agronomy or Entomology or Nematology or Genetics and Plant Breeding or Agriculture Botany or Plant Bio-technology or Plant Pathology or Plant Physiology or Seed Science and Technology or Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry OR Bachelor s Degree in Agricultural Engineering from a recognized University or Institute. (B) EXPERIENCE: For Master s Degree Holders :- Three years experience in the area of production and productivity in food or cash crops, , rice or wheat or pulse or millet or sugarcane or cotton or jute or oilseeds in a Central Government or State Government office or PUBLIC Sector Undertaking or autonomous body or any recognized institution.

3 For Bachelor s Degree in Agricultural Engineering Holders :- Four years experience in the area of production and productivity in food or cash crops, , rice or wheat or pulse or millet or sugarcane or cotton or jute or oilseeds in a Central Government or State Government office or PUBLIC Sector Undertaking or autonomous body or any recognized institution. DESIRABLE: Doctorate in the disciplines mentioned under essential criteria as mentioned above under Educational Qualification. NOTE: The Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the UNION PUBLIC SERVICE Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified. DUTIES: (i) Planning, implementation and monitoring of crop production oriented schemes like Integrated Farming System Development and watershed development/management in rain-fed areas.

4 (ii) To maintain a closer interaction with the research on crop production technology and watershed development in rain-fed areas. (iii) Project formulation & monitoring of different Projects. ( vacancy No. 21121902625) Twenty-nine vacancies for the post of Assistant Engineer Quality Assurance (Armament-Ammunition), Directorate General Quality Assurance, Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence (SC-04, ST-02, OBC-08, EWS-01, UR-14) (PwBD-02)*. *Of the twenty-nine vacancies, two vacancies are reserved for candidates belonging to category of Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD). ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: (A) EDUCATIONAL: Masters Degree in Science in one of the subject viz. Physics, Chemistry (Inorganic), Chemistry(Organic) from a recognized University OR Bachelor degree in Engineering or Technology in Mechanical or Production from a recognized University or Institute. (B) EXPERIENCE: Two years practical experience in Production or Development or Quality Assurance in the field of Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering from a recognized organization or undertaking. NOTE-I: The Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the UNION PUBLIC SERVICE Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

7 NOTE-II: The qualification(s) regarding experience is/are relaxable at the discretion of the UNION PUBLIC SERVICE Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing in the case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes or the Scheduled Tribes, if at any stage of selection the UNION PUBLIC SERVICE Commission, is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the vacancies reserved for them. DUTIES: The officer shall be responsible for quality assurance, acceptance, inspection of equipments, arms and ammunition stores, defect investigation, trials, vetting of draft indents/agreements/supply orders, sampling plans, liaison with production units, removal of bottlenecks and suggesting methods of improvements of quality.
